About Peon Culture

Peon Culture was originally thought up as a way to escape from a writing style that has pervaded most "professional" magazines, online or otherwise. We wanted to appeal to the common man, and not necessarily the people out there that already know the ins and outs of the entertainment industry. People like that are more likely to accept a writing style that almost looks like Star Trek "tech talk" to the average onlooker.

We're not as likely to ramble on and on about technical terms, that tend to bog down many magazines. That doesn't mean that we don't all have a thorough knowledge off these things. We simply don't feel that it's necessary to convey things in this manner. It's just as easy to convey the message with more easily understandable phrases, and it makes it so that the less savvy among us don't feel intimidated by what we are writing.

A History Lesson

Before Peon Culture, there was the Seventh Circle (www.seventh-circle.com). The Seventh was an independently run music magazine, that catered to darker entertainment. It first went online in 2001, and it remained a popular site until we replaced it with the site you are now browsing. The reason for the change was a need for a wider focus. While we all loved what we accomplished with the original site, we are much more excited about what we can accomplish here.
